How to turn off recent searches on Safari
Starting with iOS 18.4, Apple allows users to decide whether to show recent searches in Safari.
In previous versions of iOS, whenever you opened a new tab and tapped the search bar, Safari would list all your recent searches. However, starting with iOS 18.4, Apple allows users to decide whether to show recent searches in Safari or not. When you turn off recent searches, tapping the search bar again will no longer show the content. Here's how to turn off recent searches in Safari.
How to turn off recent searches on Safari
When you go to Safari and tap the search bar, you'll see your recent searches.
Step 1:
You click on the Settings item on the iPhone, then you click on the Application item at the bottom of the interface. Switch to the new interface, the user clicks on the Safari application to adjust the browser.
Step 2:
Go to the settings interface for the Safari browser, we find the setting Show recent searches and turn this setting off .
When you tap the search bar again on Safari, the previous search content on Safari is no longer visible.
This feature is currently only available for iPhone users. If you want to turn off recent searches in Safari on iPad, you will have to wait a little longer.
