If you want to make your English lessons more engaging instead of just reading and answering questions, creating topic-based dialogues using Twee is a great option to try.
With Twee, teachers can quickly create short dialogues, appropriate to students' level, using simple vocabulary and familiar sentence structures. This helps students not only practice reading but also role-play and practice communication naturally. This topic is particularly suitable for pair or small group activities in the classroom. Below are instructions on how to create dialogues for this topic using Twee.
How to create topic-based dialogue on Twitter
Step 1:
We access the Twee website via the link and log in to our account.
https://app.twee.com
Next, you'll see many activities for the account; we select the activity " Create a Dialogue on Any Topic ".
Step 2:
In this new interface, teachers can paste the text content they want to use to create a dialogue, or enter the topic they want to develop the dialogue on.
Below Twee, there are additional vocabulary options that teachers can choose to use to achieve the desired outcome during the dialogue. Teachers can add or omit these options as they wish.
Step 3:
We then select the appropriate level for the dialogue to create, matching it to the students' proficiency.
Alternatively, you can create a dialogue based on the students' age or grade level. Once you've set everything up, click "Do the magic" to begin the dialogue based on the text you've entered.
Step 4:
At this point, teachers will see the dialogue developed from the text they used. At the end of the text, we also see options to modify the dialogue if needed with Shorten, Simplify, and Upgrade.
Finally, teachers just need to copy the dialogue for students to use in their assignments.
