Instructions to turn off Microsoft Family Safety on Windows
While Microsoft Family Safety is useful for families, it can be annoying if you're no longer a member or no longer need it. Here's how to turn off Microsoft Family Safety.
Microsoft Family Safety helps parents manage their children's device usage. It allows you to set time limits, block certain apps or websites, and monitor online activity across devices. While this feature is useful for families, it can be annoying if you are not a member or no longer need it. Here's how to disable Microsoft Family Safety on Windows.
How to disable Microsoft Family Safety
Step 1:
You enter the keyword services in the search bar , then we select Run as administrator to open Windows Services Manager with administrative rights.
Step 2:
Switch to the new interface, users find the Parental Controls service , then right-click and select Stop to turn off Microsoft Family Safety on the computer, temporarily stopping parental control of child accounts.
To prevent parental controls from automatically starting, click on Parental Controls and then click on Properties .
Step 3:
In the next interface, the user clicks on Disabled in the list displayed at Startup type. Finally, click Apply and OK below to save.
Once turned off, Windows will no longer use Microsoft Family Safe restrictions and notification windows such as sending a request to a parent or restricted access will disappear.
Note that this setting only turns off the settings on the current computer. If your Microsoft account is still part of the Family group, the Family Safety settings will reapply when you sign in on another device. If you're a child, the restrictions may still appear unless your organizer removes you from the Family group.
