How to use the non-disturbing feature on Windows 10 April 2018
On Windows 10 computers there is also a feature that doesn't disturb Do Not Disturb like on the phone. And in the new version of Windows 10 April 2018 Update, the non-disturbing feature was renamed Focus Assist.
Focus Assist changes mainly the options that help users choose not to disturb mode settings on the computer. Instructions for using Focus Assist Windows 10 April 2018
Step 1:
You go to Windows Settings by pressing the Windows + I key combination and then clicking on the System group .
Step 2:
Switch to the new interface that users click on Focus Assist setting group on the left side of the screen. To the right, you will see the Focus Assist option always turned off.
In addition, there will be 2 other options for users to use.
- Priority only: Priority to display the list of notifications from the application, contact needed. Notifications from other applications or contacts will not automatically display.
- Alarms only: All notifications will not be displayed, except for the alarm tone.
Step 3:
To customize the feature does not bother you to select Priority only and then click on Customize your priority list .
Users will now be given the option to add applications, or important contacts, to receive notifications even when Focus Focus is enabled on Windows 10. Click Add contacts or Add an app to add them to the list.
Step 4:
Then go back to the Focus Assist interface that pulls down the Automatic rules section, we will see the options that automatically activate with different adjustments. Depending on the demand, we activate those options. To change details about time or activity, click on that option.
Step 5:
With the option During these times , the user will allow the Focus Assist feature to automatically turn off all notifications at scheduled times. In the Repeats list, you can schedule each day, week, or day only.
Step 6:
Next, when I'm duplicating my display , automatically turn off all notifications when you double the screen. This option will suit those in the meeting who want to block notifications from appearing on the screen.
Step 7:
Finally option When I'm playing a game , turn off all notifications while playing games with full screen mode. This option only applies to games using DirectX.
Step 8:
So you have activated Focus Assist feature on Windows 10 April 2018. Now, right-click on the Action Center icon in the Taskbar and then select Focus Assist feature for quick activation.
With the feature that does not disturb Focus Assist on Windows 10 April 2018, we will have more options to turn off application notifications and contacts on the computer. You will be given the choice of time frame or different actions to not receive disturbing notifications.
