How to turn on and turn off notifications from Chromecast on Android

Google Chromecast is a great development platform, but this Google Home companion app gets a lot of annoying updating requests for users. Some of the complaints are notifications on the Chromecast network, which allows users to control playback of any Chromecast device on their network, even if they don't play back on that device.

Now you can prevent notifications from appearing on other Android devices. This update takes the form of a toggle switch slider that allows you to disable all network notifications for Chromecast and Google Home.

So how to do it? Follow the instructions below!

1. Open the Google Home application.
2. Click the Devices button in the top right corner of the screen.
3. Scroll through the list to find the device you want to stop sending notifications.
4. Click on the card menu for the device.
5. In the Device info section, turn off ' Let others control your casted media. '

There are a few differences between this update and the previous version. Previously, you could only disable notifications on a device-by-device basis - now you can disable all network notifications. Therefore, you can start playback on Chromecast devices and notice that they will no longer appear on other Android devices on the network.

You can also control the Chromecast notifications that are on or off on your device by below:

1. Open the Settings application .
2. In the Personal section , click on Google, then click on the Cast media controls option .
3. Turn the slider down to the off position.
4. To turn on Cast media controls, you just need to follow the same steps and switch the slider to the on position.

With just a few simple steps, we were able to turn notifications on and off from Chromecast on Android.
