How to measure the distance between two points on Google Maps
When checking a location in Google Maps, there are times when you want to know the distance between two points, such as from the current location to the destination. The distance measurement feature can be helpful because it helps you decide whether to walk or ride to your destination. Google Maps can also help determine the distance between different destinations and provide the total distance traveled without having to install an additional application.

How to view the distance between the current location and one or more locations in Google Maps (Android)
Open Google Maps on your Android device and use the current location or enter any location. You can also press and hold an area until a red bubble appears.
Google Maps will provide information about the address entered below. Touch this information section and it will zoom in to the entire screen. You will see a ruler with the words 'Measure Distance' on the right.
A black circle will appear with a few blue dots. If you swipe your finger to the right on the screen, the dots will move left. Place the black circle where you want to go and the distance will appear at the bottom left of the screen.
There is also a way to measure the distance between different points. You can do this by clicking on the 'Add point' option in the lower right. After measuring the distance between point A and point B, click on this option, place the black circle in the third position and the sum of all destinations will appear at the bottom.
How to measure the distance between your current location and one or more different destinations on Google Maps (Desktop)
Easier to measure distances with Google Maps version on desktop browser. To mark point A, right click on the starting point and select the 'Measure Distance' option.
After clicking on the 'Measure Distance' option, it will be marked with a black circle. You can choose as many destinations as you want. You just need to click the destination and the total distance will appear in the last position clicked.
How to measure the distance between your current location and one or more different points using Google Maps (iOS)
Measuring the distance between two points in iOS is exactly the same way you do on an Android device. You can press and hold on a location or enter the location name. When a red bubble appears, click on the location information at the bottom of the screen.
On an iOS device, you'll see a blue ruler similar to the 'Measure Distance'. Touch it and slowly swipe the screen until the black circle appears in the second position. The distance measurement results will also be at the bottom. If you want to measure the distance between multiple locations, click on 'Add Location' at the bottom right.
