Although there are many excellent GPS applications on the market, for many users, just having Google Maps is enough. If you are using Google Maps as your primary navigation tool, immediately make a small customization below to not waste money.

You will need to make changes to your route on a trip. First, you need to launch the application and enter your journey details. When you have successfully saved the start and end points, click and the vertical 3 dots icon in the top right corner of the screen.

In the menu that appears, select Route Options . You will see 3 new options. Check the box next to Avoid toll roads to select a road that does not collect tolls. Finally click Done.

As you can see in the example below, sometimes the changes you just made can add a significant amount of distance to your trip. Therefore, to really save the budget, you need to consider which path will save more.
