How to ghost a computer with a TIB file
Instead, people began to prefer TIB ghost files and Acronis TrueImage dedicated software, with an intuitive interface, easy to use and more suitable for new platforms. So in this article I will guide you how to ghost your computer with a full and detailed TIB file.
1. Some notes before the computer ghost
- Consider whether or not you really need to ghost. If it's only because the system performance is a bit lower than the original or encountered a few small errors, you can fix or reset Windows instead of ghost, especially when you are using a licensed Windows.
- If your computer is a new life, you should not ghost about Windows 7 because it may not be compatible, works unstable.
- Remember to back up important data before the ghost.
2. Prepare
- Check your computer according to UEFI or Legacy, GPT or MBR hard drive.
- If the computer is based on UEFI, the hard drive should be in GPT format; If it is Legacy, the hard drive should be in MBR format (see instructions on how to transfer here if it is not suitable as above).
- Partition the hard drive at your disposal (see instructions here).
- File ghost TIB (if computer UEFI must be 64-bit Windows ghost). This file is on a different drive than the one you intend to ghost.
- USB boot with Windows 10 PE and Acronis TrueImage tool (can be created with Hiren's Boot).
3. Conduct ghost with the TIB file
Step 1: Connect the USB boot to the computer. Restart your computer, go to Boot Menu and choose to boot from USB.
Step 2: Go to Windows 10 PE, run Acronis TrueImage .
Step 3: Click Recovery -> Disk and Partition Recovery .
Step 4: Click Browse , find and select the TIB file to ghost. Click on Next .
Step 5: Select Recover whole disks and partitions and then click Next .
Step 6: Mark all the partitions (the UEFI computer will often have an additional partition named EFI System Partition or ESP), but do not mark MBR and Track 0 to avoid losing all data on the hard drive. After finishing, click Next .
Step 7: Click on New location .
Step 8: In Disk 1 select the partition you want to extract the ghost and then click Accept .
Step 9: Press Next .
Step 10: Check the information again. India Proceed to start ghost. After the process is completed, restart the computer.
