How to fix common errors on Windows computers
It is very difficult to avoid errors when using computers when using Microsoft's operating system. I don't know how to do it on a MAC computer running mac OS, but a computer running Windows often crashes. That is why in this article TipsMake will share with some causes and how to fix some common errors on Windows, because there are so many errors, I will split into many parts and update continuously in this paragraph.
Error 1: Blue screen
Blue Screen - Error on Windows XP and Windows 7 has the interface as shown below.
Error screens on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 have the interface as shown below.
The cause of the blue screen error is many, possibly related to hardware, related to software. I can list out some of the main reasons as follows:
- Driver is incompatible with the computer or because you installed the wrong driver of another version of Windows.
- Your RAM stick and RAM slot are dirty or the RAM slot is faulty. You can remove the computer ram and wipe the ram and ram slot again and then try to plug it again (use an eraser to scrub the contacts between the ram and the ram slot). You can use the software memtest86 + in Hiren Boot to test.
- Because your Windows version is faulty, you can install another Windows version to see it.
- Due to software conflicts, try to uninstall the most recently installed software, and note that you should not use 2 antivirus software, it is very easy to have conflicts.
- Caused by Viruses, try to Mini Windows to clean Virus. You can create a fully functional bootable usb to do this.
- Because your hard drive has been Bad Sector, you can check the direction to check whether the hard drive has Bad Sector or not that I wrote earlier. Once you have this error, you only have to buy a new hard drive, because if you deliberately use your hard drive will die at any time and you will lose all data.
- Due to the 'bottleneck' phenomenon, one component of your computer is not able to keep up with other components, which can slow down the entire system. I take this example, in a computer there are many components such as CPU, RAM, VGA, HDD . each has a different strong and weak speed. When you run an application or solve a problem, each set does its job. If one component is weak, then all other parts have to wait for this weak part to finish its work, leading to the bottleneck.
Error 2: The application or software cannot be installed
The reason is that you named your directory in an incorrect local language, many software will not understand so it cannot be installed.
The way to deal is that you Rename the folder name without the sign.
Error 3: The computer lost Internet
Red X appears, then surely there is no signal at all, even the LAN is also lost. To fix this situation, do the following:
- Check if the network cable is loose, or if the network cable is broken or the network nut is lost, you can try plugging in another end of the network cable if it still does not work then continue.
- Check whether the modem, hub is on and the signal light is on, check if the wire is plugged into the Switch, router, or modem.
- Check if your computer has enough drivers by right-clicking on Computer (This PC) => Manager => Device Manager. (The yellow exclamation mark means your computer is missing drivers). The solution is to download and install the driver for the computer, you can use Easy DriverPack to install.
Error 4: The network has a yellow exclamation mark
There is a very detailed article for you how to fix the yellow exclamation error in the network icon for you. See the instructions in the article: Yellow exclamation network error and 100% successful fix
Error 5: Remove notifications, messages in the bottom right corner of the screen
This is actually not an error, but a notification of the system when you turn off Windows fire, turn off Windows Update or remind you to Backup data to avoid risks.
But in fact it is annoying the user, to get rid of this message you do the following:
Click Open Action Center, it has the line Turn off or hide, then click on the example like this:
Turn off Action Center notifications completely
Or if you want to turn off Action Center notifications completely, you can do the following:
Implementation: Go to Control Panel (view in Large icons mode for easy to find) then select Notification Area Icons => next select Turn system icons on or off
In the Action Center, you choose to off => click OK to perform. So from now on, there won't be any Action Center announcements.
Error 6. Losing the Manager function in the Right-Click Menu (Windows 7)
Cause: Not clear
How to fix:
Step 1. Open the RUN dialog box by pressing Windows + R => enter the command regedit => and press Enter.
Step 2. Follow the path: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTCLSID {20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D} shellManagecommand
Step 3. There is a reg file named Default. Right-click and select Modify ., then replace the old command line with this line% SystemRoot% system32mmc.exe% SystemRoot% system32CompMgmt.msc. If still not, Repair Windows.
Error 7: Error Icon is magnified when exiting Game
Before, I used to play FiFa games, raid and often encountered this error. The reason is that when you play a game, the computer automatically changes the Resolution (screen resolution) when you play, but after exiting the game it does not return the computer's default resolution.
How to fix: Adjust the resolution for the computer. (Right-click on Desktop => select Screen resolution and reset the resolution).
Or.
Go to Control Panel => select Hardware and Sound => select Display => choose Adjust Resolution . choose the resolution resolution with text (recommended).
If your laptop uses Intel's video chipset, open its Utility, in the Display Setting you pay attention to the Aspect Ratio Option => select Full Screen (no border) instead of Center Image.
Note: If you still do not understand how to do it, you can review the tutorial on how to change the resolution of the computer screen that I have instructed in great detail before.
Error 8. Cannot install .Net Frameword
The cause of this error is that you have not installed the old .Net Frameword 2, 3, 3.5 versions. Because this application has no inheritance, when installing Net frameword 4, the features on version 2.3 . will not be available.
Remedy: Download the full version of Microsoft .NET Framework. Download and install Net Frameword offline!
Error 9: Windows Explorer has stopped working 'or' Windows Installer has stopped working '.
This error we often encounter on Windows 7, when you install, remove applications or you can update windows .
In this case, if you click on Debug or Close program, all data in that application will be lost. So the way to fix this problem is to disable the above message, you do the following:
Step 1. Open the dialog box RUN (Windows + R) => enter the command regedit and press Enter.
Step 2. Find the key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / Microsoft / QMClient / Windows / DisabledSessions
Find the frame (1) I have circled in red, see if you have a MachineThrottling key, then delete it. Finally we restart the computer to complete.
I have just added an article on how to fix this error, you can refer to it more clearly at the tutorial: 5 ways to fix 'Has stopped working' error on Windows 7/8/10
Error 10. Cannot set Password for Windows
A very common error is that the error cannot set a Password for Windows and the message Windows cannot change your pasword.
Treatment:
- Right-click on Computer and select Manage.
- In the System Tools section, select Local Users and Groups and select Users in the right pane
- Next, double-click on Adminitrator.
- Uncheck the box in the box User cannot change password> then click Apply and then Ok
- Turn off this Manager, then restart the computer and reset the password for the computer.
