How to compare fake and real AirPods
The first is the outer AirPods case, below this photo you can see the words AirPods on the AirPods real box are printed very sharp, when illuminated, the light will shine. In contrast, the word AirPods fake is very flat and not as sharp as the real box.
Second, you can distinguish it by flipping the underside of the box. What you can immediately recognize is that the box of the Fake AirPods (right) closes not as close as the real AirPods box (left). The content is fully recorded in both boxes, but you will notice carefully in the box of AirPods real some details printed in dark colors like in the fake box.
The third is on the side of the box, you can see the box above (real) printed with Vietnamese language on both stamps on the left. The stamp on the right has the complete serial number followed by the year of manufacture.
On the fake box, you can see that there is only one big stamp affixed to the box. In addition, the language printed on the stamp is available only in Chinese and English. You can simply check imei on the box, if nothing appears on Apple's website, it's a fake headset.
Fourth, open the box, you will see the AirPods real charging box is quite well completed. Try to open and close between the two boxes you will see the difference, in addition to flipping the back you will see the hinge of the real charger box is more glossy than the hinge of the fake charger box.
In some fake charging boxes, the charging port will probably be USB Type C rather than the Lightning charging port like the real charger.
By connecting the AirPods to an iPhone or iPad, you will find that the actual AirPods will have more options than the fake AirPods. Including the Rename section, autoplay, double-tap on AirPods . Meanwhile fake AirPods will not have these options.
Another inconvenience is that when you put the fake AirPods into the charging box, when you open it again, you will have to reconnect the AirPods to your iPhone.
