How to check how much mobile data FaceTime uses
FaceTime, Apple's audio and video chat application, can use a fair amount of data. That may not matter if you are using WiFi or have unlimited mobile data plans. But if you have to monitor data usage, you might want to check how much data is being used when you make a call.
On average, FaceTime videos use between 70 and 80MB every 20 minutes, but this may vary based on connection speed and other factors.

The amount of data used for each FaceTime call can be viewed right within the FaceTime app by following the instructions below.
1. Open the FaceTime application .
2. In the list of recent calls, tap "i" next to the name of the person.
At the top of the contact details, the date the call was taken, the time and data used will be listed.

At the top of the contact details, the date the call was taken, the time and data used will be listed.

You can also check your total FaceTime data usage over the current period, summarizing all FaceTime data since the last time the counter was reset.
1. Open the Settings application .
2. Click Cellular.

The counter can be reset manually and when installing a new version of iOS. To track weekly or monthly data usage, make sure to reset the counter regularly by scrolling to the bottom of the Cellular interface and then selecting Reset Statistics.
