How to change your Facebook or Fanpage name on your phone or computer.

I. How to change your personal Facebook name

Changing your account name to match your personality and purpose is a common need for users. Below, Free Download will share how to change your personal Facebook name on various devices; please refer to the instructions.
 

1. Instructions on changing your Facebook name on Android

Step 1 : Tap the profile picture icon in the upper right corner and select " Settings & Privacy ".

Step 2:  Tap " Settings " and then select " Personal Information ".

Step 3:  Click on " Profile " and then click on your Facebook name . 

Step 4 : Click " Name " and then enterdesired first  and last name in the corresponding box.

Step 5 : Once you've finished entering the information, click " Review Changes ," select the name you want to change it to, and then click " Save Changes ." 

2. Instructions on changing your Facebook name on iPhone

Step 1: On the Facebook interface, tap the three horizontal lines icon in the bottom right corner of the application.

Step 2: Scroll down the screen and select  Settings & Privacy , then tap Settings in the dropdown list.

Step 3:  Click on Personal Information and Account . Then, click the arrow next to Name . 

Step 4:  Enter the name in the box and click Review Changes. Then, choose your desired name , enter a password , and save changes . 

 

 

3. How to change your Facebook name on a computer or laptop.

Step 1: Log in to the Facebook account you want to rename on your computer, click the dropdown arrow icon in the upper right corner of the browser, and select Settings & Privacy .

Step 2: Here, select the Settings option to proceed with renaming.

Step 3: In Settings,  select General , then choose the option to edit the username (as shown in the image).

Step 4:  Here, fill in the two required fields, First Name and Last Name, to change your Facebook name on your computer. You can add a middle name field if needed. Click Save Changes to complete.

Step 5:  Choose your desired name and enter your Facebook login password . Then, click "Save changes ". Facebook will then receive your request and approve it.

 

4. How to change your old Facebook name back to your phone.

Within 48 hours of changing your name, you can change it back to your old name in the Personal Information section  of Account Settings . Here's how:

Step 1: Open the Facebook app, go to Settings & Privacy , and select Settings .

Step 2: In the Personal Information section , select Name , then select Use first name .

Now, simply re-enter your Facebook password to confirm.
 

II. How to change the name of a Facebook Fanpage

Step 1: Open the Fanpage you want to rename.

In Settings & Privacy , select Site Setup > Name .

Step 2: Find and click on Name  , then click Edit .

Step 3:  Enter the new name, then select  Review Changes .

Step 4: Enter your password and confirm the change.
