Google Now can understand more than 30 different languages around the world
Currently, Google has supported 30 additional languages for its voice recognition software. This means that about 1 billion others can talk to each other when they interact with Google.
The new languages that Google added are supported on Gboard (both on Android and iOS), voice search and many other tools. With the addition of these languages, Google's voice recognition software can understand a total of 119 language variations.
Languages that Google is supporting include Armenian, Bengali, Georgian, Gujarati, Khmer, Latvian, Sinhala, Tamil and Urdu. In an effort to make the Internet world more comprehensive, Google also supports Swahili and Amharic, two of the most widely used languages in Africa.
Google has added new languages to Cloud Speech API, meaning they will soon be available on many other Google applications and services. In the meantime, you will have to install Gboard on Android and choose your language in the Settings section.
