Facebook Messenger will only allow forwarding of messages to up to 5 people
Taking advantage of the complicated situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, some people spread fake news, both on the news feed and in the Messenger app for malicious purposes. To prevent this news, Facebook recently decided it would only allow users to forward messages to up to 5 of their friends in the Messenger app.
This feature will be available in the Facebook Messenger update that will be launched in the near future. This move by Facebook will also help prevent fake news is rampant on the Internet, and also help prevent spam, too much advertising.
Previously, in 2018, Facebook Messenger was also added a "forwarded message" label so that users could know if the content they were reading was written by the sender. This feature also appears on the WhatsApp app.
Currently, the feature of restricting message forwarding is still in development, but Facebook will soon provide it to users in the near future.
In today's era, social networking sites play an important role in connecting the world but this is also a place for fake news and malicious news to spread like an epidemic. If fake images, videos and news are considered dangerous viruses, social media is the host of infection.
