Facebook Messenger tested dating features like Tinder
Faebook is testing a new feature that allows you to connect with friends by agreeing or refusing to meet, just like Tinder's style.
Faebook is testing a new feature that allows you to connect with friends by agreeing or refusing to meet, just like Tinder's style.
Jacob Dube of Motherboard has tried this feature and compared it to the popular dating app Tinder. It will display a list of Messenger friends that you may want to meet. You will respond with a yes or no No Thanks reply . You will receive a notification if both parties agree.
This feature is not exactly the same as Tinder because it does not pair you with strangers but with your friends. Facebook's representative told Motherboard that 'People often use Facebook to plan to meet with friends. So we tested this feature on Facebook apps'.
A new way to meet friends on Facebook
If your Facebook friends list is all close, it may seem a bit troublesome to receive an invitation to meet them. Facebook also occasionally copied features from other applications but did not expect it to be Tinder.
If you don't often meet friends on Facebook, it's probably nice to schedule an appointment with them thanks to Facebook's algorithm with this new feature.
