However, it is worth noting that Microsoft also immediately announced the known bugs of the update package KB5007186, including a printer error.

Known bugs of KB5007186 include:

  1. Devices with Windows installers created from offline files or custom ISO files will have Microsoft Edge Legacy removed after the KB5007186 update. However, the system will not replace itself with the new Chromium-core Microsoft Edge. The fix is to manually install the new Microsoft Edge.
  2. After installing the update 6/21/2021 (KB5003690) it will not be possible to continue installing new updates, such as the 7/6/2021 update (KB5004945) or later. You will get the error message: "PSFX_E_MATCHING_BINARY_MISSING".
  3. After installing this update, when connecting to a device in an untrusted domain using Remote Desktop, the connection may fail to authenticate with smart card authentication.
  4. After installing this update, Windows print clients may experience the following errors when connecting to a shared remote printer on a Windows print server:
    1. 0x000006e4 (RPC_S_CANNOT_SUPPORT)
    2. 0x0000007c (ERROR_INVALID_LEVEL)
    3. 0x00000709 (ERROR_INVALID_PRINTER_NAME)

Microsoft says the printer connection error in update KB5007186 affects print servers only and is not common with devices designed for home use. Usually this problem only affects businesses and organizations.

Microsoft is actively investigating to have a solution to fix the problem soon.
