Microsoft confirms new printer error on Windows 11, only Admin can print
According to Microsoft, this issue affects Windows environments where the print client and print server are located in different time zones.
"You may receive an Admin login message every time you try to print in an environment where the print server and client are in different time zones," Microsoft said.
Affected platforms include both Windows 11 and Windows 10 client and server versions:
- Client editions: Windows 11 21H2, Windows 10 21H1, Windows 10 20H2, Windows 10 2004, Windows 10 1909, Windows 10 1809, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2016, Windows 10 1607, Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB, Windows 8.1, Windows 7 SP1.

In fact, Microsoft has fixed this problem on older versions of Windows in the September and October updates. However, there is currently no other solution for customers using Windows 11.
Microsoft promises that an update to fix this problem on Windows 11 will be released at the end of October.
Fortunately, this problem does not affect ordinary users. So far, Microsoft has only recorded computers with problems in the enterprise environment.
