Step 1 : Right-click on This PC icon and then select Manage
Step 2: In the new window select Disk Management and you will see your hard drives are displayed as Disk 0, Disk 1 as shown below, if your computer has only 1 hard drive, it will show only show Disk 0.
1. Split the hard drive
Step 1 : To divide the hard drive, right-click on the hard drive and select Shrink Volume .
Step 2 : A new window appears, enter the amount of partition you want to split, the number available is the maximum amount you can split, then click Shrink
Step 3 : Wait a moment and windows will create us a new partition, but this partition is undefined and unused, so we will have to create a new one by right-clicking and selecting New Simple. Volume .
Step 4 : A new window appears, click Next .
Step 5 : Continue to click Next, you can change the volume of the partition in the Simple volume box if desired.
Step 6 : You choose the letter name for the partition and then click Next .
Step 7 : Name the new partition and click Next , then at the last step, click Finish .
Thus we have created a new partition named Giai Tri
2. Delete and merge partitions
To merge 2 partitions, you must first delete one partition before you can merge it into a new partition. Note that before deleting the partition, copy all the important data in that partition to other places, otherwise you will lose data.
Step 1 : Right-click the partition you want to delete and select Delete Volume, if a message appears, click Yes .
Step 2 : After deleting the partition you need to delete, right-click on the partition you want to expand and select Extend Volume
Step 3 : A new window appears, select Next
Step 4 : Next, select the amount of space to expand and click Next , then click Finish to complete.
So we have combined 2 drives into 1 as before:
