Crucial launches the fastest PCIe 5.0 SSD model ever created, speeds up to 14.5GB/s
The SSD hard drive market is witnessing increasingly fierce competition between brands in many aspects, from design, size to speed and capacity.
Crucial is one of the market leaders, and the Micron-owned brand has just continued to make itself the center of attention when it launched the T705, a completely new flagship solid-state hard drive model with many performance advantages. capacity.
Crucial confidently calls the T705 a "fully optimized Gen5 SSD masterpiece", "bringing PCIe 5.0 performance to a new level" with the ability to support data transfer speeds of up to 14.5GB/s , significantly faster than its predecessor T700. Crucial promises 20% faster random write speeds and 18% faster sequential read speeds on the T705 compared to the previous generation, making this the best-performing commercial SSD model the company has ever created.
For the T705, Crucial still maintains the same Phison controller as the T700 model, but the appearance of a faster 232-layer TLC NAND chip allows the new SSD model to be able to support high read and write speeds. significantly more. Customers can choose between three storage configurations: 1TB, 2TB and 4TB.
Like other manufacturers, Crucial allows users to equip their SSDs with an integrated aluminum and copper heatsink. In case the motherboard already has a heatsink for the SSD hard drive, users can choose a cheaper version that does not come with a heatsink. Just note that heatsinks are mandatory for high-performance PCIe 5.0 SSDs. This type of hard drive can significantly reduce performance and even be damaged if not cooled properly.
The Crucial T705 is now available for pre-order on the official Crucial website. The first shipments will begin shipping on March 12 in the US market.
