The fastest speed Core i3 launches
HP and Dell are beginning to sell laptops using Core i3-370m chips with speeds up to 2.4GHz, 3MB of cache .
This is the Core i3 chip for the fastest speed laptop in the current 'Core i3' family. Previously, Intel offered only three models of Core i3 chips for laptops with 350M products clocked at 2.26 GHz, 330M at 2.13 GHz and a low-power 330UM model at 1.20 GHz.
Like the 3 models of Core i3 chips on the market, 370M has 3MB of cache but the speed is much higher than the 2.4 GHz clock. The first laptop model to use this chip is the HP Pavilion dv6t.
Along with HP, American computer maker Dell has also started selling to Mexico and Asia-Pacific Studio 15 laptops use this fastest chip model. However, for some reason the information about this chip model was removed from Dell's website shortly after it was posted.
i3 is the lowest-end chip in the Core i series that Intel has just officially launched in January 2010. Core i5 and Core i7 are more advanced chips. 'Core i' family is an advancement of Intel's technology that succeeds in 'embedding' more graphics processors that improve the quality of images displayed while consuming less power. These chip models are capable of running two data streams on each core and thereby significantly improving the system's performance.
