According to Anandtech's evaluation, the iPhone 3GS has an average web browsing speed of over 122% faster than WiFi and 22.6% compared to the Palm Pre (used with the VXL Cortex A8).

Although the VXL speed of iPhone 3GS (600MHz) is only 45% faster than the speed of iPhone 3G (412Mhz), but thanks to the advanced ARM Cortex A8 ARM11 architecture, iPhone 3GS speed has been significantly improved.
