Let's see what this new touch-screen phone from Nokia looks like "step by step" with two competitors, the Samsung Omnia SGH-i900 and Apple iPhone 3G:

The 5800 and iPhone 3G are equipped with 3.5 mm audio jacks, while the Omnia uses Samsung's own standard port to connect.
With a thickness of 15.5 mm, the 5800 XpressMusic is the thickest of the three phones. Omnia and iPhone have 12.5mm and 12.3mm thickness respectively.
As a music device, the 5800 is equipped with a pointing device similar to the one used for guitar.
The 5800 supports input with both stylus (brooch pen) and fingers. Top down: mini QWERTY keyboard, full QWERTY keyboard.
