Techradar has tested with Internet Explorer 8 RC1, Firefox 3.1b3, Safari 4 beta and Chrome on the Samsung NC-10 netbook. The result is:
Interface: Firefox tops
Chrome and Safari are not formally weak browsers, but they lack full-screen browsing, an important factor on the netbook's small screen. Both Internet Explorer (IE) and Firefox browsers can browse the web in full screen, meaning you don't have to remove bookmarks and other things. However, among these two browsers, Techradar says Firefox is better than IE, especially when changing the background.
Feature: Firefox continues to champion
Google Gears is integrated in the Chrome browser for offline access to web applications, but you can do so on Firefox, Safari or IE very easily. As with web browsing on the desktop, Firefox is the most open and most feature-rich browser.
Block ads: Firefox continues to win
Blocking ads is a very useful feature with netbooks by small display. With a range of built-in add-ons from AdBlock Plus to Greasemonkey, Firefox goes away from other browsers in this respect.
Speed: Safari tops
In Techradar's test, the Safari browser ranked first in terms of performance, followed by Chrome, Firefox, and finally IE.
In short, Safari and Chrome are faster than other browsers, but Firefox has a combination of full-screen browsing (press F11), the strength of the number of useful features. If you are interested in speed, you can choose between Safari and Chrome. But in general terms, Firefox goes far beyond the rest of the browsers.
