Yahoo has just announced it will close the Yahoo! Directory - is considered a website nearly 20 years old.

According to SlashGear, Yahoo! The Directory will terminate its operation on December 31.

Yahoo! Directory is considered a general directory of reputable websites, arranged by topic so that users can easily find the content to search on the internet.

During the period Yahoo was still growing and when Google ( the most famous search engine today ) was not yet available, Yahoo! The directory has helped users a lot in finding content, because websites are divided by categories.

Last updated of Yahoo! Directory is made in April last. However, this service is still not " salty " by users. Instead, now about fast search trends, users immediately think of Google Search or Bing ( Microsoft) tools .
