Microsoft has announced that Windows 8 users can customize the " Do Not Track " (or DNT) feature on Internet Explorer 10 (or IE10) when running the operating system for the first time. This is in stark contrast to what it announced in May this year that the DNT feature will always turn on by default on IE10.
Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8 will enable and disable the DNT feature on the first use.
"Do Not Track" works to help users manage their online advertising websites. Currently, the five most popular browsers today are Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari all feature DNT.
Brendon Lynch, director of security at Microsoft, said that DNT will be activated when users choose "Express Settings " when installing Windows 8. Meanwhile, if you want to turn off DNT and other features on the system. This operator, they must choose "Customize" section.
Meanwhile, IE10 on Windows 7 will be slightly different. Users of this operating system will be notified that the DNT feature is always enabled on the browser. In other words, customers will not be allowed to choose to turn this feature on or off when installing a new web browser.
