The Register said, Microsoft has just decided to change the Metro interface name to "Modern UI ". All software optimized for this interface is called " Modern UI style application".
The company has immediately applied the new interface name to its series of events and programs. In addition, Microsoft began replacing this new phrase with Metro in question-and-answer articles as well as some of its websites. Even so, "Modern UI" is still considered too general and has not really impressed by the name Metro.
Earlier, a German firm called Metro AG threatened to sue Microsoft over the unauthorized use of the Metro brand. In response to this situation, Microsoft initially announced it would not call "Metro " but instead " new user interface " or " Windows 8-style user interface".
