Why does restarting the phone help the device run faster and fix some common errors?

Surely at least once you heard the advice 'try turning it off or on again?' Every time the phone has a problem. Even this sometimes helps the machine run faster than before. But why?

Surely at least once you heard the advice 'try turning it off or on again?' Every time the phone has a problem. Even this sometimes helps the machine run faster than before. But why?

All is due to phone RAM

When it comes to resolving slow machines, they all lie at RAM consumption. For most of today's OS, the more applications you open, the more RAM you will consume.

When you turn off the application, or manually remove it from memory, they don't go away completely. The fact is that the rest is still saved in RAM, making them unnecessarily full and less available for new applications.

The OS still distributes itself to make room for new applications, but because of that, the device is slow, not only has to download additional applications, it must also regularly rotate to make room for new applications.

You may have heard the phrase 'How much empty space is wasted'. Basically, this sentence is true. All Unix-based OSs, such as Android, run tight RAM and still be okay. Windows on the computer will be better if there is a piece of RAM left but you don't need to worry. Basically, they can be used to the fullest without any problems.

  1. Do you know how much RAM a smartphone needs to use?

The slowdown is caused by how RAM works. When the data comes in and out, they are scattered - a piece of the same software can be everywhere in RAM. Because the read / write speed of RAM is very fast, the new search is not long.

So, what does a reboot help?

The mechanism is very simple. When you restart the phone, everything in RAM will be cleaned up. All leftover fragments of running applications are deleted, all running applications are closed. Simply said, when the phone reboot is when RAM is cleaned up.

As a result, the application will load faster, switching between applications is also faster. How long this will take depends on whether the OS manages memory well or not, and usually the speed improvements are not too much.

Not only does it speed up the OS, restarting the device also helps to overcome some common errors. For example, opening / closing an application that cannot be manipulated can be turned off and turned on again. When the application is turned off, a portion of them is still in RAM but after restarting, all will be wiped clean.

Of course this is not the universal way to overcome all problems, but with common errors, this simple action can be useful. If, after restarting, all problems are still in place or you have to turn it on and off several times a day, maybe your phone is having some more serious problems.
