Best Weapons to Pair With the QBU in PUBG Mobile

Pair the QBU with a weapon that covers close and mid-range fights. The QBZ is the simplest all-purpose partner on Sanhok because both guns use 5.56mm ammunition. An UMP45 is easier to control in tight compounds, while an AKM or another 7.62mm assault rifle adds heavier close-range pressure at the cost of carrying two rifle-ammo types.

What the QBU does well

The QBU is a semi-automatic designated marksman rifle associated with Sanhok. It fires 5.56mm ammunition, accepts a magazine and long-range optics, and has a built-in bipod that improves stability when the character is prone. Its fast follow-up shots make it useful for moving targets and for finishing an opponent after the first hit.

The QBU is not a substitute for a close-range automatic weapon. A magnified sight, semi-automatic fire and the time needed to reacquire a target make it awkward when an enemy pushes the same room or rock.

Best QBU weapon pairings

QBZ: easiest balanced loadout

The QBZ is a natural partner because it handles automatic close and mid-range fights and shares 5.56mm ammunition with the QBU. A single ammo type simplifies looting and leaves more backpack space for healing, grenades and smoke.

Use a close-range sight on the QBZ and a magnified optic on the QBU. Do not carry so much shared ammunition that you crowd out utility; both weapons drawing from one pool also means an extended fight can drain it quickly.

M416 or another controllable 5.56mm assault rifle

An M416 provides the same ammo-sharing advantage and can be tuned for either close or medium range. It needs more attachments to reach its best handling, so the QBZ may be faster to assemble when loot time is limited.

UMP45: strong inside buildings

The UMP45 is useful for players who want low-recoil automatic fire in compounds and forests. Separate .45 ACP ammunition prevents the SMG from consuming the QBU’s 5.56mm supply, but the backpack must hold two ammo types. This pairing gives up some assault-rifle reach because the QBU already owns the long-range role.

AKM or another 7.62mm assault rifle

A 7.62mm assault rifle adds close-range impact and gives the loadout two distinct ammunition pools. Choose it only if you can manage the recoil and backpack space. It is less convenient than the QBZ pairing but can suit a player who prefers deliberate bursts or strong initial shots.

DP-28: situational rather than ideal

The DP-28 can sustain fire at vehicles or enemies crossing open ground, but it overlaps with the QBU at medium range and is slower to handle in a sudden room fight. Carrying 7.62mm for the DP-28 and 5.56mm for the QBU also increases inventory pressure. It works for a support role, but it is not the default recommendation for solo play.

Recommended roles and attachments

How to fight with the loadout

• Open with the QBU from cover, then switch to the automatic weapon before entering a building or pushing a knock.
• Use the QBU’s prone stability only when the position is not exposed to flanks, the zone or grenades.
• Carry smoke grenades so you can recover a teammate or leave a long-range firing position.
• Reload both weapons behind cover; a QBU magazine can empty quickly during rapid follow-up fire.
• Mark targets for the squad instead of firing at every distant player.
