PUBG Mobile QBU Guide: Stats, Attachments, and Tactics

The QBU is a semi-automatic designated marksman rifle (DMR) in PUBG Mobile. It uses 5.56mm ammunition and was introduced as a Sanhok weapon that replaces the Mini14 on that map. Its built-in bipod is the defining feature: going prone makes repeated shots noticeably easier to control.

Why the prone position matters

The bipod deploys automatically when your character lies down. This reduces recoil and helps the sight return to the target during fast follow-up shots. It makes the QBU particularly effective when firing from a ridge, rock, or the edge of cover at medium range.

Prone shooting also has drawbacks. Grass can block the sight, a flat silhouette may be easy to spot from higher ground, and standing up takes time if an enemy pushes. Use the bipod when you have cover and a safe escape route—not in an exposed field just for the recoil bonus.

Compatible attachments

The QBU accepts a sight, a muzzle attachment, and a magazine. It does not take a separate grip because recoil control while prone comes from the built-in bipod.

Sights

Magazines

An Extended Mag raises capacity from 10 to 20 rounds, which is valuable when tracking a moving opponent or fighting more than one target. Muzzle attachments

• Compensator: The best straightforward choice for recoil control during rapid follow-up shots.

How to use the QBU effectively

1. Fight at medium range first. The semi-automatic action is forgiving enough for moving targets and does not punish a missed shot as severely as a bolt-action rifle.
2. Fire measured taps while standing or crouching. Spamming the trigger can pull the sight off target before the next bullet lands.
3. Go prone only from a defensible position. The recoil advantage is strongest when the enemy cannot easily flank or throw a grenade.
4. Pair it with a close-range weapon. An assault rifle or SMG covers buildings and sudden pushes, where a scoped DMR is awkward.
5. Relocate after repeated shots. A suppressor helps, but opponents can still infer your angle from bullet impacts.
