Turn off message notifications for a specific contact on iPhone

With iPhone, iPad running iOS 11 you can customize the notification intelligently. If you do not want to receive notification messages from a specific conversation or want to unhide message notifications from a few people, follow these steps.

Message notifications are quite useful to help users keep up with important content easily. And especially, on iOS 11, users can turn off notifications from a contact, keep sensitive content private.

You can hide alerts for iMessage conversations as well as SMS. When this feature is activated, message notifications are not displayed on the lock screen.

Step 1 . Open the Messages application on your iOS device.

Step 2 . Next, open the conversation you want to turn off notifications.

Step 3 . Now touch the 'i' button in the top right corner of the screen.

Step 4. Next, turn on the button next to Hide Alerts.

Step 5 . Finally, select Done / Done in the upper right corner of the screen.

From now on notifications from this conversation will be hidden.

Step 1. Open the Messages application → Open the hidden message notification → press the 'i' button.

Step 2 . Now, turn off the button next to Hide Alerts .

Step 3 . Select Done in the upper right corner of the screen.

So the message message is activated for this phone number.
