Troubleshoot the speaker icon with a red cross
The following article will help you fix the small error when the speaker icon under the Taskbar unexpectedly has a red slash while you have installed the driver for Card Sound and this phenomenon is accompanied by the error message No Speakers Or Headphones Are Plugged In / No audio Fix Tutorial
Step 1: Go to the Control Panel and select Hardware and Sound
Step 2 : Click on Realtek HD Audio Manager
Step 3: Go to the Information button in the lower right corner
Step 4: Uncheck Display icon in notification area > OK
Step 5: Select Connector Setting
Step 6: Tick on the Disable front panel jack detection (this is the key)
So your computer will play music as usual. Having fun!
