Spotify Premium Student Subscription Required

Spotify states that to sign up for the Spotify Premium Student plan, you need:

1. Students currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.
2. 18 years of age or older.
3. Student verification information can be provided upon request.
4. The Premium Student package can only be used for a maximum of 4 years (not necessarily consecutively, but the total cumulative time cannot exceed 4 years).

Spotify partners with SheerID to verify your student status. When you sign up for Premium Student, you'll be asked to enter your personal and school information. A third-party service (SheerID) will check against a student database to confirm that you're actually enrolled at the school.

When applying, you may need to provide some documentation to prove your student status, such as:

1. Valid student card, clearly printed with name, date of birth or student code.
2. Transcript or tuition payment slip with full personal information.
3. Student email with school extension (if applicable).

Depending on the situation, SheerID may ask you to provide additional documentation.

Step 1:

Then click on Use Premium and log in to your Spotify account .

Step 2:

At this point, the user is required to verify the student via SheerID . Spotify will ask you to enter personal information: Full name, student email address, school, date of birth. Once filled in, click approve the message .

Step 3:

You will then need to log in to your school's student information account . Once you have logged in, return to the Spotify interface to upload your student identification documents according to the instructions from SheerID. The verification time will take a few minutes or a few days. The verification information will be sent to your email.

After successful verification, you need to choose a payment method.

Using Spotify Premium Student after graduation?

You will continue to have access to the Premium Student plan for up to 12 months from the date you last signed up or verified, while it is still active. If you are no longer a student at the end of that period, you will no longer be eligible for Premium Student. Your subscription will automatically switch to the Premium Individual plan at 59,000 VND/month.
