When accessing google.com on Chrome , just one click on the microphone icon, Google will accept your voice. Provided you need a built-in microphone that works well on your personal computer. And then, you just need to raise your voice to place a search order.
Ms. Amy Kunrojpanya, Head of Foreign Affairs and Communications, Mekong Region, of Google Asia-Pacific shared: 'Whenever we integrate a new language into the voice search function, we have to' teach ' 'computer that understands the sounds and words of the dialogue language. This was done including collecting a dialogue sample from native speakers before making a 'mold' for the language of that country. To prepare for this launch, we have developed from a solid foundation to build a language model for Vietnamese people. "
Google worked with nearly 700 volunteers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City for 2 years to collect dialogue samples, totaling 480 hours.
"When completing the collection process, we embarked on a sound and language model to 'guide' the computer to 'identify' Vietnamese." - Amy Kunrojpanya said.
The voice search tool can identify the voices of many regions in Vietnam, although not 100% perfect. But it is important that the language system will improve as people use this function more and more.
