Microsoft has been steadily adding AI image creation tools to Paint for over a year now. Cocreator (based on DALL-E) arrived in late 2023, followed by AI color fills and image editing features this past fall. Now, all of these tools will be grouped under the Copilot icon, making them easier to find when you need to create clip art or make a quick AI photo edit.

With this change, Paint could now be one of the most useful apps to test Copilot with, making even more sense than integrating into Bing. Also search for photos in the cloud using natural language.

Today's update also brings a major upgrade to the AI Search feature, which debuted in preview earlier this month.

Advanced search will now extend beyond local files to cloud-based photo files. Users can search for photos using natural language, and results will show both local and cloud-based files.

New AI search is rolling out to Windows 11 Insiders in the Dev and Beta channels, making the search experience smarter and more intuitive.
