Microsoft considers supporting DNS over HTTPS (DoH) directly in Windows 10
Since DNS (Domain Name System) was created, this protocol has been almost unencrypted on the Internet. Tech companies are pushing to deploy DNS over HTTPS (DoH) to encrypt DNS queries, thereby improving security, privacy and performance for internet users.
As mentioned, DNS over HTTPS takes care of the encryption process, making your queries more private. It can be understood that when you connect to a specific website, such as TipsMake.com, the network operator (ISP) can only see that you are browsing TipsMake.com, instead of being able to track. What you are watching on TipsMake.com as usual.
Microsoft has just released a confirmation message that it will enable DNS over HTTPS for Windows 10. It's currently being tested with Windows Insider users in Fast Ring to gather feedback before it can run. rolled out to global users later this year, or as late as next spring.
The legitimate demand for privacy on the Internet is increasing, which makes it more widely available for support features such as DNS over HTTPS. Google is also testing this feature on Chromium, while Mozilla has enabled DoH in Firefox. You can refer to the article below to find out more details:

Coming back to DoH on Windows 10, support for DNS over HTTPS at the operating system level will greatly enhance user privacy, while allowing companies to filter DNS-related requests. Last year, Microsoft talked a lot about its focus on promoting cybersecurity based on technology and privacy. And supporting DoH on Windows 10 is an important part of this commitment.
DNS over HTTPS protocols can now be enabled in preview builds of Windows 10, and Insiders users can experience it now. It's unclear when Microsoft plans to deploy DoH support to global users, but it's likely that this feature will appear later this year with the Windows 10 20H2 update.
After Windows 10 May 2020 Update (20H1), 20H2 is arguably the next major Windows 10 update this year, focusing on important improvements and bug fixes. According to a typical Microsoft schedule, Windows 10 20H2 may be released between October and November.
