List of CSC product codes and specific product areas of Samsung Galaxy
When it comes to Samsung Android phones, there is an important information that users have to pay attention to: their firmware updates and their exact names. The firmware version numbers for Samsung devices are classified into two parts, namely PDA and CSC.PDA includes the number of updates with changes on the Android system, while CSC includes country-specific changes. Therefore, all global scale changes for the 8.1 Experience TouchWiz or Samsung are indicated in the PDA.Meanwhile, CSC can be considered as a diary to record specific updates by country or network service providers with features such as wallpaper, call via wifi, VoLTE, audio, etc.
You don't need to bother much about CSC if you simply download updates via the official OTA from Samsung. However, for more advanced users who want to root their Samsung devices through the latest TWRP recovery, these people may need to restore device settings at certain times to proceed. Manually update their device. For example, if you want to root the newer version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat, you will need the full firmware version and flash it using the latest Odin tool (specifically designed for Samsung phones). Therefore, to download the correct firmware files for your device, you also need to know the CSC version information.
What is CSC?
CSC stands for Country Specific Code. Each country or region or network service provider has a separate CSC code.Below is a list of all CSC codes or product codes corresponding to each country or service provider.Basically Multi-CSC has been classified into 4 parts. The first part is the code used globally. The second part belongs to different carriers in the US such as Sprint, AT & T, T-Mobile, Verizon . Finally, the third and fourth sections will include similar service providers in Canada. and Vodafone in particular.
