Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 Detailed Review: The Perfect Match!
1. How is the performance of this Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3?
It's been a long time since I've experienced a Lenovo gaming laptop. For more than a week of use and experience, I evaluate Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 brings a smooth experience to many games and helps me handle the increasing workload in the present time. Before entering the evaluation, I would like to get a little point about the hardware parameters of Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 a little bit:
- 15.6 inch screen, Full HD, IPS LCD panel, 120 Hz refresh rate.
- CPU: Intel Core i5-10300H Comet Lake.
- RAM: 8 GB DDR4 2 slots (upgradeable up to 16 GB).
- Internal memory: 512 GB M.2 PCIe SSD, support SATA HDD slot.
- Discrete Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650Ti 4 GB.
Hardware configuration of Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3.
Looking at the above parameters, we evaluate that Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 owns a familiar configuration with gaming laptops, but this is not a high-end configuration level. However, the actual experience I see that, Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 has brought stability when fighting graphics-heavy online games. To check the efficiency of Intel Core i5-10300H CPU and GTX 1650Ti discrete card, I downloaded and experienced League of Legends, MotoGP 20 and FIFA Online 4.
The first is in the game League of Legends, I have been constantly afraid to turn on the high level of graphics and hope that the whole game experience will be smooth. The results showed that the FPS level has fluctuated steadily between 56-69 FPS (when recording the screen) and FPS reached 93-113 FPS (without recording the screen). That shows that the Intel Core i5-10300H CPU and GTX 1650Ti discrete card have been handling League of Legends game well.
Next, I played FIFA Online 4 and I liked it very well that the game experience was very stable. Not only brings a stable FPS level from 60-80 FPS (high graphics), Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 also gives a beautiful display and deserves a reasonable choice in the price range.
To bring more perspectives, I participated in the MotoGP 20 track. This is a new game and until now I have only had the opportunity to experience it on Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3. Objectively speaking, the laptop brings? Immersive immersive space as if you are a professional racer rather than a gamer playing through the virtual screen.
And as you can see, with maximum settings, the FPS ranges from 54-67 FPS. I am satisfied with this result, although sometimes FPS drops to 38 FPS, it does not affect my experience too much.
So I sent you to experience 3 games with different graphics. Overall, we find that the CPU and GPU are compatible with the device, thereby providing stable performance and a worthy experience for the money that we have to spend. In addition, I also do not forget to experience other tasks and find that this laptop can handle many heavy tasks such as Lightroom, Photoshop or Premiere at the same time.
The multitasking capabilities of the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 are very impressive.
However, when you both play games and do graphics, Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 can hardly handle it properly, so you should focus on one thing: do not force 'em it' too. And besides the practical experience, I also use Geekbench 5 to test CPU and performance. The results are as follows:
- CPU measurement: single core reached 683 points, multi-core reached 2,419 points.
- Performance measurement: Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 reached 2,419 points.

I am quite satisfied when the laptop's performance reaches 42,656 points from Geekbench 5. And besides, I also use Crystal Diskmark to measure the read and write speed of the 512 GB M.2 PCIe SSD hard drive. The results I obtained are:
- Read speed: 1,740 MB / s.
- Write speed: 1,188 MB / s.

You may not know, Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 also supports SATA HDD slot to expand internal memory. You can freely store data and upload heavy games to this loving laptop. At the same time, I also use BatteryMon software to measure battery life. After 1 hour 22 minutes of measuring the battery, the battery life result of Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

2. Is heat dissipation a big deal on the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3?
Referring to gaming laptops, we cannot ignore the heat dissipation factor and because of that, I have tested the ability to air-condition inside the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3. First of all, I used AIDA64 to measure and for more than 50 Minutes of FIFA Online 4 + photo editing in Photoshop, the software measured the CPU temperature to reach 93 degrees Celsius.

To get this result, I pushed the screen brightness to 100%, custom sound, opened FIFA Online 4, used Photoshop and opened 8 Chrome tabs to use for work. Personally, I feel the heat sink heats up and blows air over the screen portion of the device. But do you know, the good thing is that the palm rest and keyboard do not get hot, thereby helping to make the user experience more complete.
3. Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 looks too beautiful
Looking at the design, Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 owns a beautiful appearance with a neat design and iridescent blue tones. I really don't know if this is emerald green, fanciful purple or glossy black, because every time I change my perspective, the color on the laptop changes.
Overall design of Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3.
To be honest, the gradient color transition makes me have a positive look with Lenovo in general and Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 in particular. Why do I say that? You also know that, most of the devices and laptops on the market are wearing familiar white, black, gray, . shirts and it is very rare to see the breakthrough with brilliant red. Therefore, bringing an attractive color tone has helped Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 catch the eye of many technology users.
The color of the laptop changes when I change the viewing angle of the device.
Considering the feeling of holding, I appreciate when Lenovo brings a laptop with the overall big but not heavy when holding. Although labeled as a gaming laptop and possessing many advanced technologies inside, the machine still feels comfortable to hold.
Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 feels very enjoyable to hold.
One more thing I want to say is that the look of the laptop has a mixture of simplicity and gaming. On the back, Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 does not have too many complicated details and we only see Lenovo logo in the corner of the machine. However, Lenovo has subtly trimmed the edges around the laptop design to look stronger.
The back is designed simply.
Regarding connectivity, Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 owns a full range of connection ports to help link devices and serve many different jobs. On the left side you will see, Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 owns a well-designed power port, LAN port, HDMI, USB, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack and notification light. Meanwhile, on the right side, the machine has only a USB port and heatsink slot.

4. Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 screen will make you satisfied
One of the major downsides on the Lenovo IdeaPad line is that the screen color is slightly green and you will easily recognize when placed next to the laptop with other devices. However, in Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3, Lenovo's visibility has been improved and I absolutely do not see the blue phenomenon on the device screen anymore.

As you can see, the colors of the app icons are vivid and fresh. Well, one thing I want to say in the screen part is that Lenovo has integrated a 120 Hz refresh rate for a smooth user experience. Combined with GTX 1650 tI and Intel Core i5-10300H Comet Lake CPU, you get a thrilling gaming experience.
You can freely fight games on Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3.
Owning a 15.6-inch screen and Full HD resolution, Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 has brought a vast visual experience and displayed full details. Another point that makes me satisfied again is that the company has optimized the surrounding edges to make the user experience more attractive and attractive.

5. Keyboard and touchpad
Speaking of the keyboard, you will enjoy when Lenoovo has deliberately integrated the blue backlight below to synchronize with the overall color tone of Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming. This idea is very good and I feel satisfied with the design this time.

Experience very good operation thanks to the fast response speed, and thanks to the large button spacing, you will be less likely to get mistakenly touched when manipulating quickly.
The laptop's movie table feels comfortable to use.
As for the touchpad, I feel satisfied when the experience of surfing and dragging is very smooth thanks to the non-hissing touchpad surface. But if you want the game to be better, I recommend you to buy more separate mice for convenience.

Conclude
I appreciate Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 for bringing too many advantages and meeting many users' needs, from common tasks, user experience to performance. But most of all, I really like the overall perfection and performance of the laptop that makes it possible to compete with competitors in the price range.
