iPhone lock in Vietnam was suddenly launched internationally for free because the US carrier 'released the door'
Previously, to unlock the iPhone lock, users would have to spend about 2-2.5 million more to buy code from the network. However, in the past few days, many users in Vietnam said their device was suddenly built to become an international device even though they did not buy a code to unlock it.
The iPhone lock in Vietnam that was suddenly launched internationally for free is a portable version from Verizon's US network.
The reason for this was the Verizon's new policy, which automatically unlocked all devices (including iPhones) sold after 60 days if it met its conditions.
According to Verizon, the device after unlocking may be compatible or incompatible with some functions of other carriers due to technological differences.
The condition for unlocking the iPhone for free is that the device is sold by Verizon, not charged, not in the blacklist of the network, not lost.
Currently, only Verizon supports unlocking the phone, other US carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint have not.
Some users said that, like the international version, their iPhone lock after unlocking the network can use all functions.
On the unlocked iPhone, users can change the SIM, perform "Delete all content and settings", update the software without being locked again.
