Instructions for registering to change international driving licenses online

Along with the roadmap to change the Driver's License to plastic card, the General Department of Roads of Vietnam has now also provided a service to change the International Driving Permit online. For those who wish to change the International Driving Permit, this service will support you very much, when you do not need to go directly to the agency to proceed with the procedure. However, in order to be able to register for a change, your driving license must be valid, ID card and Passport are still in use.

Step 1:

First of all, you visit the Vietnam Road Administration link below.

Step 2:

At the main interface, we will click on the Public Services section to grant the International Driving License (Level 4) , then click Online Registration .

Step 3:

Switch to the interface to enter personal information. For items that require images, we need portraits, photos of the front of the GPLX and photos of the passport with the photo page.

For driving license information , they enter the 12-digit GPLX number on the license, enter the place of issue and click Search to get GPLX information. If your GPLX number is valid, it will be in the national database. The system will automatically enter personal data and fill in the corresponding boxes.

Step 4:

Looking at the interface next to Portrait Photo , we will upload portraits and create digital signatures. Click the Create signature button to create directly on the page. Or if available, choose Download signature image with .PNG format, black text on white background and capacity less than 1MB.

Step 5:

Additional information , complete information Passport number, Place of birth, email address, Date of issue, Contact phone in use.

Step 6:

Attached Profile Item (required), we will click Select file to download the front view of the EPP of PET material that requires a portrait, a photo of passport information with photos and place of birth. Choose files in .pdf, .jpg, .jpeg, .docx, .doc, .png and under 1 MB formats.

Finally check the box I want to make sure the information is correct and please be responsible for the information declared and click Continue .

Step 7:

We check all the above information, portraits, signatures and contact addresses to receive international GPLX. Click Continue .

Step 8:

The final step will be to pay online via bank cards, including GPLX fee and delivery service.

The system will announce the result of changing international GPLX via the entered email address. If the application is invalid, there will be an email notification and we only need to correct it. If valid within 7 to 10 days later, GPLX International will be forwarded to the entered address.

After being changed to international driving license, it will be used in 70 countries, including European countries and 5 countries in Southeast Asia including Vietnam, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia.
