Instructions for properly cleaning AirPods headphones with 3 steps of Apple standard
If you have an AirPods or an AirPods Pro, you'll probably use them very often. During use, these accessories can easily get dirty.
Therefore, you will need regular cleaning to keep them clean. Here's a three-step cleaning process for AirPods or AirPods pro. To get started, have a lint-free cloth that can be found in many phone accessory stores.
Step 1: Prepare and take note
Always use a soft, lint-free cloth to avoid causing any scratches. For the charger, you should also use soft brushes.
Although they are waterproof, they should never be cleaned with too much water. A wet cloth or isopropyl alcohol is sufficient.
Do not put the headphones back in the charging case when they are not completely dry.
Step 2: Clean the tip and body of the headset
This is considered a place in direct contact with headphones and needs to be cleaned carefully. If you use AirPods Pro, you will need to take off the nipples and rinse them off with water. Never use soap or cleaning agents. Then continue to wipe the body of the headset with a wet cloth and then wipe with a dry cloth.
For regular AirPods, simply wipe the ear with a dry cloth, then wipe with a damp cloth from head to body. Finish off with a dry cloth.
Step 3: Clean the charging box
Compared with headphones, the charging case will be less dirty. You can wipe the case for your AirPods with a soft, lint-free cloth. Apple recommends wetting the fabric with isopropyl alcohol will help clean the case better. Use a cotton swab to clean the headphone socket.
For the charging hole, you can use a soft bristle brush like a paint brush to brush off the dust stuck inside, do not use hard brushes, pokes to clean.
Do the three steps above, and you'll always keep your AirPods and AirPods pro looking like new. Hope this article can provide you with useful information.
