How to transfer music playlists between Spotify and Apple Music
Spotify and Apple Music are the two largest music streaming services. But maybe sometimes you want to switch from one service to another. Maybe you are a long-time Spotify user and have an iPhone, so decide to try Apple Music. Either way, the most annoying thing about switching from this streaming service to another streaming service is moving the created playlist. Fortunately, there are free apps and services to help you do this. Here are two free options for moving between Spotify and Apple Music - or other streaming services.
Move playlist with SongShift
Assuming you want to switch to Apple Music because you have an iPhone or iPad, the article will first consider the free iOS app called SongShift. Just download SongShift to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and launch it. Touch the Setup Source button .
Next, select Spotify and enter your login information, then select Apple Music and log in there. Note that you will need to turn on the iCloud Music Apple app in Settings to connect it to SongShift. After both services are connected, click the Dismiss button to close the screen.
Then go back to the Setup Source section of the application, click Spotify and see if you want to move the album, song or playlist. Then select the item you want to move from the library and click Select in the upper right corner. In this case, the example will move the playlist.
Next, touch the Setup Destination button . Then, select Apple Music and the item you intend to move. Again, the example will move the playlist.
Then touch the I'm Finished button and Spotify's playlist will be combined on Apple Music.
Important note : If you want to move multiple playlists at the same time, you need to buy SongShift Pro version. At the time of writing, the Pro version costs $ 4.99 (115,000 VND). However, if you find that moving one by one is fine, you can continue to use the free version. Also, sometimes you cannot move songs because it is not in the Apple Music catalog.
Move playlist with TuneMyMusic.com
Another free web-based tool for transferring music from Spotify to Apple Music (or vice versa) is TuneMyMusic.com. The main idea here is like the SongShift application. Select Spotify (or any service you're on) and sign in with your account login.
Next, you can see a link to the playlist you want to move. Or, select load from Spotify account. Then select the playlist (s) you want to transfer, then click the Select Destination button .
Select Apple Music (or other service) and sign in with your account information. If you have enabled two-factor authentication (and you should do this), you will need to enter the security code sent to your device.
All operations completed. You will have a progress screen while the playlist is transferred from Spotify to Apple Music.
The important thing to mention here is that TuneMyMusic.com allows you to transfer multiple playlists at once. And you don't need to download the application.
There are other ways to move your playlist between streaming music services. But the two options mentioned in this article are the most reliable and easy to use. And what's interesting is that they support more platforms than Spotify and Apple Music. You can transfer playlists from Google Music to Apple Music or YouTube Music to another service.
Hope you are succesful.
