The giant Spotify music streaming platform contains a multitude of different tracks. In it of course there are songs that you love and vice versa. This article will show you how to hide and unhide specific songs on Spotify

( Note: You can't hide songs in your own playlist. If you don't want a specific song to appear in your playlist, just remove it from the list.)

How to hide songs on Spotify

To hide a song to a specific song, simply follow these steps in the Spotify app on your iPhone or Android phone.

First, launch the Spotify app on your phone or tablet and find the track to hide. Then, next to the song name, tap the three dots.

In the menu that opens, select ' Hide This Song ' .

And Spotify will immediately blur the name of this song in the playlist.

Note that you'll continue to see this song in the playlist, but it will automatically be skipped when it's time to play.

How to unhide songs on Spotify

If you've changed your mind and want to unhide the song, follow these steps.

First, open the Spotify app on your phone or tablet. Then find the playlist or album where you have hidden the song.

Find the song you've hidden (the song title will be grayed out) and tap the three dots next to it.

Is it possible to hide songs in Spotify web?

At the time of writing (July 2023), you cannot hide songs in the web and desktop versions of Spotify. Only the mobile app allows you to hide and show songs.

If there's an unwanted song in the playlist, you can just remove it from the list and Spotify won't play the song. To do this, go to the playlist that contains the song you want to hide. Next to the new song, click the three dots and select ' Remove From This Playlist ' .
