How to fix Apple Watch not tracking sleep
Here are some ways to fix Apple Watch not tracking sleep.
1. Turn on the sleep tracking feature on Apple Watch again
We proceed to turn off the sleep tracking feature on Apple Watch and then turn it back on to restart this feature.
Go to Settings and select the Sleep feature to track sleep. In the next interface we will turn off the Sleep Tracking feature , then wait a while and then re-enable this feature.
2. Set Apple Watch as the primary data source
The Health app has a Data Sources and Access section to get health data, and you need to set Apple Watch as the primary data source.
We access the Health application and then click on Browse below. Next, click on the Sleep feature and then click on the Data Sources and Access settings to change. Continue clicking the Edit button to change the main data source to Apple Watch .
3. Reset your sleep schedule
In the Health app, click on Browse then click on the Sleep feature. Next, the user clicks on Sleep Schedule to adjust the sleep schedule. Apple Watch will not automatically track sleep if you have not set a sleep schedule. Please check if you have set a sleep schedule, or turn it off and on again to activate it.
4. Reconfigure sleep schedule
Also in the Sleep interface, click Edit to reset the sleep schedule to match your actual schedule.
5. Turn on wrist detection
Apple Watch uses motion sensors and heart rate monitoring to track sleep more effectively. And for the heart rate monitor to work, we have to enable wrist detection.
Go to Settings and then click on Passcode . Next, users need to enable the Wrist Detection feature .
6. Use Sleep Focus
Sleep Focus mode turns on during relaxation time to help you sleep better at night.
We click on the Sleep feature then click on Full Schedule and Options. Then you need to enable Use Sleep Schedule for Sleep Focus mode to use it.
7. Check the Apple Watch battery again
Apple recommends keeping your Watch's battery level at least 30% to ensure it lasts through the night. Anything less than this recommendation could affect our nighttime sleep data collection.
8. Remove and re-pair Apple Watch
The final solution is to unpair the Apple Watch and then pair it again. This will reset your Apple Watch and clear up any current sleep tracking errors. However, after re-pairing, it means you need to set up your Apple Watch again from scratch.
