How to download Direct X and install DirectX on your computer

Step 2 : Click the red Download button and select Next .

  1. Note : Microsoft will suggest some other products before selecting the download link, but you only need to leave the check boxes in the box if you do not want to download those products. If you ignore the download, the Next button will appear No thanks and continue .

Step 3 : Complete the installation of DirectX with instructions from the Microsoft website or from the DirectX installation program.

  1. Note : The downloaded DirectX version can be installed on Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP so do not worry when it notifies you only support on Windows Vista.All errors in the DirectX 9 file will be replaced when needed.

Step 4 : Restart the computer even though it is not required.

DirectX 11.0 supports Windows 10, Windows 8 and Windows 7. Also available for Windows Vista after the background has been updated. Available 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

DirectX 10 is suitable for Windows 10, 8, 7 and Vista.

Direct 9 is provided for Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista and Windows XP. If you have a program that needs DirectX 9 files on Windows 10 or 8, installing the download version is a good solution. It will not "downgrade" to install DirectX 10/11/12. This is the final version of DirectX suitable for Windows XP.
