How to Contact Google
Use Google Support (Google Help)
Find out what works at the Google help center. Because Google can't provide customer service for requests like password resets or account recovery, they have lists of common support topics and instructions for common problems.
While the help center doesn't feel like you're connected to Google, it's your one-stop-shop for issues when you need assistance from Google.
Open Google Support (Google Help). Go to https://support.google.com/ using a web browser.
Select product. Click on the name of your product that is having problems.
For example, if you're having issues with Google Chrome, you'd click the Google Chrome option.
See possible resources. A list of familiar topics displays in the center of the page, and you can find your question or problem here.
Select a support source category. Click on the question or issue category that you need to use. That category immediately expands and shows you specific options.
If clicking on the category opens the help page, you will skip to the next step.
You can also type a question or issue into the search bar at the top of the page.
Select a resource topic. Click on one of the topics below the expanded category. This will open the theme's support articles page.
If you've typed a question or problem into the search bar, click the topic that shows up in the drop-down list below the search bar.
Follow the instructions of the support article. You just need to carefully read the displayed support article and then follow the instructions in the article to fix the problem.
You may have to follow the instructions of many articles to solve your problem.
Most support articles have a list of related articles on the right side of the page.
See support phone numbers for Android phones. If you'd like to get support for non-Pixel Android devices, you can follow these steps to see a list of help numbers:
Click Pixel Phone on the Google Support page.
Click Contact us in the top right corner of the page.
Click Android Device Support.
See a list of phone numbers.
Ask for help for Pixel phones. If you have an Android Pixel 1 or Pixel 2 phone, you can get support from Google via text or call in the following ways:
Click Pixel Phone on the Google Support page
Click Contact us in the top-right corner of the page.
Click Pixel Device Support'.
Select Pixel series.
Click Request callback for call support or Request chat for text support.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
Ask for help with Google Drive. This is the only service app for which Google offers direct support. To request a text or email conversation from Google, you'll do the following:
Click Google Drive on the Google Support page.
Click Contact us in the top-right corner of the page.
Select a topic, and then select a category when asked.
The Request a refund option is not available at this step.
Click Request chat or Email support.
Follow the on-screen instructions to start a conversation or receive an email.
Contact Google directly
Understand that there are few ways to contact Google directly. Unless you're a reporter or G Suite manager, the ways you can contact Google are limited to just mailing and applying for jobs.
The only exceptions are for Android help, Pixel help, and Google Drive help as mentioned in the method above.
Do not call numbers that are not recognized by Google. Many scam phone numbers claiming to be Google's are still in circulation. To avoid being scammed (or time-consuming), you should only call the phone number found in the Google documentation. For example, you can call a phone number on a G Suite site, but not a phone number on a non-Google site.
The same applies to email addresses and regular addresses.
Google employees never ask you for your password by phone or text.
Email the press support team. If you are a reporter and would like to contact Google with questions, you can email press@google.com. Whether or not you receive a reply will depend on the subject of the email.
Google only accepts and responds to emails from reputable reporters.
Send an email to Google's office. If you don't mind mailing your letter and don't receive a reply, you can write to 1600 Amphitheater Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043. Google almost doesn't respond to mailed mail, so don't do this for urgent or sensitive matters.
Contact G Suite support. Regular Google account users can't do this, but G Suite managers can request 24/7 customer help. To communicate with Google using G Suite, you must be a G Suite manager and perform the following steps:
Go to https://gsuite.google.com/support/ using a web browser.
Select a contact method (for example, click Phone Support if you want to receive calls from Google).
Click SIGN IN TO G SUITE.
Sign in with your G Suite manager account information.
Follow the instructions on the screen. If you want to call Google, you must follow the instructions on the hotline.
Apply for a job at Google. The final way to contact Google directly is to apply for a job. You can view and apply for positions on Google's Careers page:
- Go to https://careers.google.com/jobs using your computer's web browser.
- Change the location at the field in the right corner to select the location you want.
- Click in the "Search jobs" field, then press ↵ Enter.
- Browse the results.
- Select the result, then click APPLY in the upper right corner.
- Fill out the application form and follow the on-screen instructions.
