How to Change Computer Screen Resolution
Windows 10
Right click on the screen. A menu will appear here.
Click Display settings . This is the option at the bottom of the menu.
Scroll down and click Advanced display settings . This link appears at the bottom of the page.
Click the bar below the "Resolution" heading. You'll see a screen displaying a list of different resolutions (such as "800 x 600").
Click a resolution. The resolution that best suits your computer screen usually has the word "(Recommended)" next to it.
The higher the resolution, the smaller the size of text and symbols on your computer.
Click Apply . This is the button below the "Resolution" bar. With this operation, the screen will have the resolution you selected.
Click Keep changes . If you don't like the new resolution, you can click Revert or wait a few seconds until the screen automatically returns to the default resolution.
Windows 7 and 8
Right click on the screen. This will show you a menu.
Click Screen resolution . This is the selection at the bottom of the right-click menu.
Click the resolution adjustment bar. This bar appears below the "Resolution" heading. You'll see a list of options with different resolutions, such as "1920 x 1080".
On Windows 7, it will be a vertical slider that allows you to click and drag the adjustment knob up or down to increase or decrease the resolution.
Click a resolution. The resolution that best suits your computer screen will have "(Recommended)" next to it.

Click OK . This is the button below the window. This will ask you to confirm your selection.

Right click on the screen. A menu will appear here.
Click Personalize . This is the selection at the bottom of the right-click menu.
On some versions of Vista, this option is also called Properties .
Click Display Settings . This path appears at the bottom of the "Personalize" window.
Click and drag the slider on the "Resolution" bar left or right. You will see this adjustment bar below the "Display Settings" window. Dragging the slider to the left will decrease the screen resolution, while dragging the slider to the right will increase the resolution.

Windows XP
Right-click anywhere on the screen. You will see a menu appear on the screen.
