Specifically, users can create and manage Official Accounts (OA) to interact with customers, promote brands, especially useful for businesses and organizations. The ability to create groups with a larger number of members, up to 1,000 people, is also an advantage, suitable for communities, work groups or large-scale business activities.

How to authenticate the latest Zalo account

First, update the Zalo application on your phone to the latest version via the App Store or Google Play. In this article, Digital Era will guide you through the steps on Android. If you are using iOS devices (iPhone, iPad), you just need to do the same.

To identify your Zalo account or check the identification status, visit Zalo OA https://zalo.me/xacthuctaikhoan or enter the keyword 'Zalo support' in the search box. Note, account identification can only be performed on the phone.

Next, users just need to select Account Identification and follow the instructions until completion, such as submitting identification documents. The identification document image must include a photo of the face, document number, full name and other information, and this information is only used for verification and account authentication.

If the image and information are clear, you will receive a successful authentication message after a few minutes. Otherwise, the user just needs to edit the information or image so that everything matches the requirements.

Unverified accounts will not be able to post on social networks

According to Point e, Clause 3, Article 23 of Decree 147/2024/ND-CP on management, provision and use of Internet services and online information, foreign organizations, enterprises and individuals must authenticate social network user accounts using mobile phone numbers in Vietnam. In case the user does not have a phone number, the account must be authenticated using a personal identification number according to the provisions of law.

Only verified social media accounts are allowed to post information (write articles, comment, livestream) and share information on social media.

However, state agencies also create conditions and time for businesses to carry out account authentication.

Specifically, the Transitional and Implementation Provisions section clearly states that within 90 days from the effective date of this Decree, foreign organizations, enterprises and individuals providing cross-border information to Vietnam and domestic organizations and enterprises providing social networking services must authenticate active accounts of social networking service users as prescribed in Point e, Clause 3, Article 23 and Point b, Clause 3, Article 27 of this Decree.
