How professional companies recover data on memory cards
Enter Serwis - a data recovery company from Poland that shared a short video showing how they recovered and retrieved data from a nearly dead microSD card.
In the video, it is possible that Enter Serwis used a memory card that had a faulty controller, so the card could not access its own data. Instead of going through the controller, Enter Serwis used a specialized tool to directly access the card's memory.
First, Enter Serwis laser-etched the plastic shell to expose the memory card's circuit board. Then, they used a device called the Spider Board, designed for businesses that specialize in memory card recovery, to make it easier to connect to the memory card's circuit board. Without this professional tool, they would have to perform a rather cumbersome and potentially damaging operation of soldering wires to the circuit board.
