China launches first 6nm GPU for gaming & AI: Performance surpasses RTX 4060, can play 'Black Myth: Wukong' at 4K with stable FPS
China has just introduced the first gaming and AI GPU line manufactured on the 6nm process, named Lisuan Tech 7G106 and 7G105, with up to 24GB of memory and superior performance compared to RTX 4060. This can be considered a breakthrough of the billion-people country in the field of gaming GPU & AI.
A few weeks ago, the Lisuan G100 chip made headlines when it surpassed the NVIDIA RTX 4060 and came close to the RTX 5060 in synthetic benchmarks. Now, Lisuan Tech has officially launched the first two graphics cards using the G100 chip: 7G106 and 7G105.
In terms of specifications, the 7G106 version is aimed at mainstream users with 12GB GDDR6, 192-bit bus and PCIe 4.0 x16 standard. This card has 192 TMUs, 96 ROPs, a maximum power of 225W and uses an 8-pin power supply.
The 7G106's design includes 3 cooling fans and occupies 3 slots, along with 4 DisplayPort 1.4a ports supporting 8K@60Hz HDR display with Freesync, HEVC 8K@60FPS encoding and 30FPS decoding. The card is also compatible with modern APIs such as DX12, Vulkan 1.3, OpenGL 4.6 and OpenCL 3.0.
Meanwhile, the 7G105 version targets the professional/AI market, owns the same chip but is upgraded to 24GB GDDR6 supporting ECC, data transfer speed up to 192 GP/s, 384 GT/s and FP32 performance up to 24 TFLOPs. This card can run 16 1080p@60FPS screens simultaneously in a virtualized environment, integrates data security, encryption and secure computing support.
Impressive performance: Beat RTX 4060, play "Black Myth: Wukong" smoothly at 4K
In the tests, the 7G106 continued to prove its superiority when it reached 26,800 points on 3DMark Firestrike - equal to the RTX 4060. Notably, Lisuan Tech also demonstrated the ability to run Black Myth: Wukong at 4K resolution (high configuration) with FPS over 70 frames per second. Other games such as Wuchang: Fallen Feathers also reached over 70 FPS at high 4K, while Shadow of the Tomb Raider (DX12) reached up to 80 FPS.
Lisuan Tech has not yet announced the clock speed, price and release date of the new series, but this is certainly a big step forward for the domestic GPU industry in China. According to the official announcement, the product will start mass production from September and is expected to be available in the Asia-Pacific market by the end of 2025.
