There were 4,035 cyber attacks on Vietnam in the first 5 months of the year

At the ASEAN-Japan International Rehearsal (May 23), representatives of the Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Center (VNCERT, under the Ministry of Information and Communications) announced statistics on the attack. 4,035 attacks on Vietnamese cyberspace include:

1. 2,661 interface change attack incidents (Deface).
2. 766 Malware attacks (Malware).
3. 608 phishing attacks (Phishing).
4. Nearly 100,000 Vietnamese network addresses query or connect to a botnet network every day.

Since the beginning of the year, a lot of information insecurity events in Vietnam have taken place, causing public concerns such as: more than 139,000 computers in Vietnam are infected with virtual money digging virus W32.AdCoinMiner, or Vietnam Nam reached the top 10 most exposed countries in the world in the scandal of Facebook user information .

According to VNCERT statistics, in 2017, Vietnam had 'caught' 13,382 network attacks, including 6,400 cases of malicious attacks; 4.377 case of attack change interface and 2,605 phishing attack cases.
